Portrait of a fellow photographer

I've been working on doing more portraits lately. When I reflect upon my photography classes in college, specifically lessons in portraiture, I remember how difficult it is to really capture another human being. What says something about them without being too obvious or maybe even cheesy? All the while having to consider lighting/composition to create an interesting and hopefully unique image.

I ended up photographing a fellow photography frenchie whom I was traveling with around California. I thought, what better way to capture a photographer then when they are instructing you how to use their camera (he's a Nikon boy while I'm a canon girl and I was in need of a little instruction)? Us photographers have all been there.

Little practice sessions like these are great for when I start branching into the portraiture world professionally.

The natural lighting was perfect, I wouldn't dare touch it with adobe.
