Last Minute Napa
It's been far far too long. I still have so many things to post from France and guess what.... Marielle Claire Photography is relocating to Sydney Australia people. So get excited because there is going to be some incredible photos displayed on this website. There's also a lil talk about teaming up with another travel photographer. This is going to be a very interesting journey and I want all of you to be a part of it.
My last week here has been a mixture of bitter-sweet sadness, stress, glowing happiness, and nonstop movement. My best friend came to stay with me in SF and we decided to take a last minute trip to Napa to spend some quality girl time.
Here's a couple snaps. MORE TO COME I PROMISE.

The Bee Keeper and His Bees
The family I was staying with in France had bee hives and made their own honey. Therefore I was lucky enough to experience the thrill of dressing up in a huge bee space suit and have hundreds of agitated bees swarm around me. Very impressive.

Hiking in the French Alps
After Paris, the TGV (a 200mph train) took us across France and deep into the mountains. The French Alps really are something out of a fairly tale. Imagine not only lush green forests, turquoise waters, and large mountains with snowy peaks, but also winds that would make flowers float in the sky and farm animals wearing bells that created the most exquisite sounding music.
At this point, I turned to my boyfriend who was raised in this magical part of the world and asked "are you a fairy?"
What a lucky girl am I to have a native French family show me all the local hot spots for hikes. It felt like we were the only ones in these mountains. By happenstance that you do run into a fellow hiker, its tradition to say "bon jour"! Nonetheless, it still feels extremely surreal to stumble upon another human in this crazy natural landscape.
Enjoy Marielle Claire Photography followers!

Paris by Day and Night
This is a blog post about all things... Paris. Anything you can think of about Paris is probably here (except the Eiffel tower). That's because whenever I think about Paris, it mainly includes images of cute cafes, rues, and restaurants placed on every corner imaginable.
I was fortunate enough to go this past month, unfortunately only for two nights. Just enough time to remind me of how I want to live here one day. It might be my romantic side... but there is just something about this city..
Salut! Paris by Day and Night:
Many many more posts to come. I did spend two whole weeks in other very fascinating parts of France so keep touching base fellas.

Portrait of a fellow photographer
I've been working on doing more portraits lately. When I reflect upon my photography classes in college, specifically lessons in portraiture, I remember how difficult it is to really capture another human being. What says something about them without being too obvious or maybe even cheesy? All the while having to consider lighting/composition to create an interesting and hopefully unique image.
I ended up photographing a fellow photography frenchie whom I was traveling with around California. I thought, what better way to capture a photographer then when they are instructing you how to use their camera (he's a Nikon boy while I'm a canon girl and I was in need of a little instruction)? Us photographers have all been there.
Little practice sessions like these are great for when I start branching into the portraiture world professionally.
The natural lighting was perfect, I wouldn't dare touch it with adobe.

Yosemite
This past week I was lucky enough to take some time off work and road trip through California with two Frenchies. I was given a new set of eyes with having some foreigners around.
Yosemite was our first destination. Pure eye candy.
More to come.Full harvest moon between the dried forest:
