Forestry
Forests are certainly very difficult to capture; the little morsels of light dispersed throughout the forest's floor causes very complicated lighting conditions. Forgetting your tripod makes capturing its beauty nearly impossible and flash... looks like crap. I'm still trying to master the forest in all it's mystery.
Since I have not been hiking nearly enough in the Santa Cruz mountains since I've lived here (where one can find some of the most beautiful forestry in the world) I have made it a new goal this summer to really take advantage of it's wonders.

Cadence in Retro Vision
I discovered Cadence looked bad ass in my birthday disco suit - so we paraded around the boardwalk at sunset for the ultimate look. Not quite how I envisioned this shoot but then again these things never turn out the same as you see it in your own mind.
A little update: I just graduated college and am dying to go on more photo shoots now that I have the time. My hard drive also died the night after I graduated.. but don't worry friends my diligence backed up all of my photos. However by ignorance forgot to back up every document I've ever written in college. Four years of hard work, gone. Wish me luck making it out in the real world without proof of my efforts. For now, it will be all about photography I suppose.
Anyways, I introduce to you the marvelous Cadence Chile!
Hipster for crossroads
Brandt was my male model for the crossroads photo shoot I did. I find them kind of hilarious:
Enjoy!
